I decided to play an eight-year-old kid today and fall and skin my knee. At least I was wearing jeans, so it’s not so bad. Though I did get my favorite jeans a little bloody But anyway, this IS something I would do… what can I say? I’m forever clumsy…

Procrastination and Japan

Why do I procrastinate so much? I’m ridiculous. I’m going home on Friday, and I have to turn in all my study abroad stuff in… which also means I have to track down random people to get signatures, etc. And Japan’s whole visa thing is so complicated!! I don’t know if it’s because I suck at this, or if it really is this hard, but… gahh.

On another note, going through this entire process has really started to get to me. I mean, this means I’ll be away from home for an entire year in a country where I can barely speak the language. In one sense, it’s really exciting, and I can’t wait. On the other hand, I’m starting to get freaked out. I mean, how am I going to survive? I’ve always wanted to think of myself as fairly independent, but now that this is actually happening… I don’t know how true that is. No family, no friends, and not even much English for a year. Well, I guess I’ll just have to wait and see how everything plays out…

I think I spent a good hour trying to find a username that wasn’t taken. And then I spent another half hour trying to pick a layout. I was planning to sleep three hours ago. I’m exhausted. Having gotten through the day on water, ginger ale, and a few saltine crackers doesn’t help the tiredness, though that two-hour nap did, I have to admit. My tummy is grumbling and angry that I won’t feed it. But I don’t want tonight to be anything like last night, so I’m just going to have to tough it out. Anyway, I’ve been up far longer than I planned to be… and just because of this goshdarn blog. Sheesh. So goodnight–or morning, if you want to get technical.
